Minter, Ellie Russell

Ellie Russell Minter, age 83 of Frisco, Texas passed away on May 7, 2014 in Frisco, Texas. She was born on May 17, 1930 in Mullin, Texas to Ellie Gertrude (Sorrels) and James Theodore Russell. On March 2, 1951, Ellie married William S. Minter in Rockwall, Texas. She was a Loan Officer for the First State of Bank of Frisco and a member of the First Baptist Church in Frisco. Ellie was a Good Woman – a good wife, a good mother and a great Mema!

Ellie is survived by her husband, Bill Minter of Frisco, Texas; three children, David Minter (Collette) of Arlington, Texas; Ron Minter (Cindy) of Grapevine, Texas and Patricia Logsdon (George) of Pocatello, Idaho; five grandchildren, Monica Dittfurth (Jason), Melinda Nunez (Daniel), Marilyn Franklin (Nathan), Scott Minter and Emily Gayle; seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Anthony, Joshua, Addison, Valerie, Sid and Reagan; sister, Mary Nell Reynolds of Quanah, Texas; brothers-in-law, Charles Reynolds and AD Rolan; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ellie is preceded in death by two grandsons, Preston Minter and Aaron Minter; sister, Florence Rolan; parents, Gertrude and Jim Russell.

A Funeral Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Frisco on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Elwood Larson officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home in Frisco on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Private interment will be held at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
