Sue Catherine Rasor Carter, 92, passed away on Jan. 16, 2008.

Sue was born on July 27, 1915, a daughter of John S. and Mittie (Bush) Rasor, a pioneering family of Collin County. On Sept. 3, 1939, she married Charles Ruell Carter, who preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1973. She is also preceded in death by five siblings.

Sue had an active life. She had a lifelong love of horses and enjoyed exercise and swimming. Sue was a world traveler, a business school graduate and a competitive ballroom dancer. Most importantly, Sue had a strong faith and lived a life focused on Christ.

Sue is survived by her children, Glenda Sue (Carter) Winker and her husband, Kent, of Denver, Colo., Charles David Carter and his wife, Sharon Kay, of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, Carter Sullivan and his wife, Laura, Shannon Carter, Nelson Carter and his wife, Sandy Sue, Jennifer Carter and Hunter Carter; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Celina. Interment will follow at Rowlett Cemetery in Plano, Texas. The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. Friday at Turrentine-Jackson Memorial Park in Allen.
